Snapchat’s new Lens lets you create AI images using text prompts

Snapchat has launched a new Lens called “Imagine Lens.” This feature allows users to create, edit, and recreate images (Snaps) with their own text prompts. This exclusive feature is available to Snapchat+ Platinum and Lens+ subscribers.
What It Can Do:
Users can enter prompts like “create an image of a grumpy cat” or “turn me into an alien” to generate visuals powered by AI.
The Lens offers preset prompts such as, “Turn me into a four-to-five-panel comic with a surprise twist,” “Make me a funny caricature,” or “Make this person skydive.”
The caption bar remains editable, letting users tweak prompts at any time.
Where to Find It:
Snapchat+ Platinum and Lens+ members can find the Imagine Lens at the front of the Lens Carousel or in the “Exclusive” category. After selecting it, simply tap the caption area to enter or modify your prompt.
Why It Matters:
It’s Snapchat’s first Lens with an open text prompt. This lets you create beyond the usual effects.
Shows Snapchat's effort to blend AI and AR for better, personalised visual expression.

Google Photos upgrades its image-to-video feature with Veo 3

Google Photos just added Veo 3—its latest AI-driven video generation model—to the Create tab. Users in the U.S. can now turn still images into four-second silent videos. They can choose between “Subtle movements” or “I’m feeling lucky.” Free users have a daily limit on generations, but subscribers to AI Pro and AI Ultra enjoy higher limits.

Veo 3 takes over from Veo 2 and offers much better video quality. It increases both resolution and clarity.
Choose a mode and see static photos spring to life. Enjoy dancing, shimmering, and even confetti effects from the Create tab. No detailed prompt needed.
Subscription perks: Pro and Ultra subscribers get more daily generations; free users are limited to a few soundless clips per day.
Why It Matters
Google is making AI video tools easier to use by adding them to Google Photos. This upgrade enhances how users connect with their memories. It also shows Google’s aim to provide advanced AI creativity tools for everyone.
